"Moving can be a stressful experience for everyone. Being new to an area is intimidating. After a brief tour of the public schools and local private schools we made the decision to send our child to St. Mary’s. We are Catholic and felt we should support our local Catholic school. I fretted about the decision all summer-was it the right choice for her, would she be happy there? School started and the adjustment process began. To be honest, she had a rough few weeks-none of her preschool friends were in her class (as they all still live in Colorado), she was trying to fit in and she just wanted to move back “home”. I called her wonderful teacher and began that open, honest relationship that can exist between a parent and an outstanding teacher. Fast forward a few months and we have a happy well adjusted child who is thriving, learning more than I ever thought possible and becoming a nicer person for it all.
I guess the thing that surprised me the most about St. Mary’s is that we didn’t just enroll her in a school. We became part of a family. The web that is St. Mary’s exists inside and outside the school doors and helps students form a framework for the rest of their lives. Whether I am helping at the classroom party, volunteering for a fundraiser, or having an 8th grader baby-sit, I am convinced that we made the right choice. I certainly feel pride in her academic accomplishments but also proud that my child’s character is equally as strong."

"Kindergarten at St. Mary’s has been such a wonderful experience for our son. He has learned so much not only about academic subjects, but also about how important it is to care for others. He has also shown great strides in his understanding of God, church and community. The friendships that Alec has developed at school are a joy to witness. We feel very secure in sending him to St. Mary’s, with the knowledge that he is receiving a wonderful education and moral guidance as well. We are grateful every day to have St. Mary’s School in our community!

It is difficult to put into words how much St. Mary’s School means to me and my children. It is so much more than just a school; it is a community-an environment made up of staff, children, and families who really care about each other and the well being of all the children. It is a place where all kids thrive and are cared for; where they are valued and where they are given a great deal of attention-academically and socially. I really believe that, regardless of one’s faith background, St. Mary’s is a place where children receive a quality education.
